About Xanthe
Xanthe spent twenty years at The Museum of Modern Art, where she developed the kind of eye for color, composition, and beauty that never really leaves you. With an undergraduate degree in Art and Art History from Skidmore College and a Masters from Teachers College Columbia University, she has always believed that how things look — and how they make people feel — matters deeply.
Love Balloons was born in the spring of 2020, when the world locked down and people still needed to celebrate. Birthdays happened. Babies arrived. Graduations came and went. And with no one allowed inside, Xanthe found a way to bring the party outside — decorating homes, doorways, and gardens in Rye, New York with balloon garlands and bouquets that could be seen, photographed, and felt from the street.
What started as a response to an impossible moment became something she couldn't stop. Every order is handled personally, every color chosen with care, every installation designed with the same attention she has always brought to everything she does. That's what Love Balloons has always been — and always will be. xoxo

And Then Came the Parties
It started with a question Xanthe kept hearing — "can you help with the rest of the party too?" After years of designing balloon installations and bouquets for celebrations across the tri-state area, it became clear that what people really wanted was a trusted eye on the whole celebration, not just the balloons.
So Piece of Cake Party was born — a curated party supply shop designed for people who care about the details. Beautiful paper goods, elevated tableware, cake toppers, candles, and everything else that makes a celebration feel designed rather than assembled.
